Custom Gloveboxes

Gloveboxes have evolved over the years from standard models to larger custom systems containing process-related equipment specific to an application. While Innovative Technology offers excellent standard glovebox models, we will also work with you to create custom gloveboxes to suit your specific applications. The modular design of our System One glove boxes allows us the flexibility to integrate all types of equipment. Size and design configurations, hardware, controllers, accessories - all can be customized to your specifications.

Size and design configurations

Gloveboxes can be designed in a wide variety of sizes. Size and design configurations of your glovebox that you can specify include such features as

• High Surface finish
• Radiused Corners
• Shielding
• Variable width and depth
• Number and type of gloveports

The size of your glovebox may dictate certain features. For example, because it is best to be able to reach all areas of a glovebox. This is as far as most arms can reach. If you need a larger glovebox, you would want to specify additional glove ports that would allow access to all areas of the box. You would probably want to select a dual side-access design.

Ergonomic features

Ergonomic injuries represent the fastest growing category of injuries today. You can also specify ergonomic features to make your glovebox more flexible and comfortable to use. Ergonomic features could include such things as lighting, glove and glove port sizes, and adjustable height options.

Powder Handling Glove Box

Innovative Technology designed this system as a thru put powder handling system. It includes electronic balances mounted into the box floor and a rail system that allows the operator to move heavy containers through the box. It also includes a custom-designed bag-in/bag-out chamber mounted in the floor of the box and a mechanical bursting pane integrated into a house filtration system. This glovebox is designed to maintain oxygen and moisture levels at one PPM.

Chemical Dispensing Glovebox System

This glovebox is designed to facilitate the packaging of specialty chemicals. It uses mass flow technology that allows users to dispense accurate amounts of the desired chemical within a controlled environment. It also includes oxygen and moisture analyzers to ensure that products are oxygen and moisture free, and a vent cabinet that mates with the antechamber to extract harmful fumes from the working area.

UV Spectrophotometer Containment System

This glovebox was designed to house a high-performance deep-UV spectrophotometer. The inert atmosphere the glovebox provides permits the acquisition of UV spectra down to 140nm, allowing chip manufacturers to implement the 157 nm technology that the semiconductor industry is now beginning to use.

The glovebox was built with the accessibility of the spectrophotometer in mind. With multiple glove ports and a quick release end panel, this glovebox is easy to work with while under a controlled atmosphere, and can also be easily serviced.
